A eight-year-old home remodeling company submitted 235 to 285 proposals a year. The owner had to hire an extra office assistant to help create the proposals. The owner would have to spend twelve to fifteen hours a week reviewing and making changes to the proposals that the office assistant created. Between finding work, managing his field staff and creating proposals the business had grown as far as could.

 Solution

Using Microsoft Excel we created a series of spreadsheets that matched all possible parameters of a given job site. We developed custom code to dynamically read the spreadsheet values and generate a Microsoft Word proposal document based on the values entered on the spreadsheet. Now when the customer goes to a job site he takes along his portable laptop enters the values in at the job site and presses a button to automatically generate the invoice.
